💢 New: “Gaza is not only being bombed daily. Gaza is being made unlivable.”
Eyad Amawi, Gaza humanitarian aid coordinator, said Israeli restrictions continue to delay, deny, or completely block humanitarian missions, including medical teams, water deliveries, and crucially, essential life-saving supplies.
Amawi said civilians have been pushed into just 30% of Gaza’s territory, while deprivation of food, water, healthcare, and safety is being used to force Palestinians from their land. “Departure is not a free choice,” he said. “It’s expulsion under siege.”
He called for all crossings to reopen, the ceasefire to be fully implemented, and unrestricted humanitarian access, warning that history “will judge not only what happened in Gaza, but also what the world chose to protect and what it allowed to disappear.”

1) It’s *literally* your job to regulate this platform.
2) If you can’t, what does that mean? Tell us.
3) The Dept of Culture is not ‘your’ department, it’s ours. You’re its temporary custodian
5) But Facebook is ok? Really?
A corporate media campaign has successfully manufactured a "defence funding gap" -- paving the way for the oligarchy to get the plebs to stump up money for arms corporations and future wars rather than spending to benefit the public.
Andy Burnham looks like he might cancel the NHS England contract with Palantir, they also have one worth 2.5x as much with the MoD.
RT if you want them both out of the UK.
An extremely important, devastating story. Starmer and Streeting have colluded to produce a US-UK pharma trade deal that experts say will siphon billions from the NHS and cause huge numbers of avoidable deaths. Disgraceful.
“How will we pay for the NHS?” “How will we pay for disability benefits?” “How will we pay for your pension?”
Starmer today: almost £80,000,000,000 a year on defence by 2029.
No one asked how we’d pay for it.
At a time of political change, we cannot lose sight of the horrors still unfolding in Gaza.
We must continue to press for accountability and an end to the devastation and suffering at the hands of Israel.

The US signed a MOU with Iran that contains a clause about Israeli withdrawal, without being named as such, but this is how the Lebanon clause was interpreted by Iranian officials. Then just after this, the US signed a trilateral agreement with Israel and Lebanon that allows Israel to stay in Lebanon, although, here too the language about occupation is not explicit.
This is a serious breach by the US of the MOU. Or was the language of both the MOU and the trilateral agreement intentionally vague, and Lebanon will be paying the price of both ambiguities?
Prominent US war hawk John Bolton has pled guilty to violating the Espionage Act after previously demanding execution for whistleblowers Edward Snowden & Chelsea Manning and 176 years in prison for publisher Julian Assange.
As part of a plea agreement, Bolton admitted to unlawfully retaining sensitive national security information. He now faces up to 5 years in prison, up to 3 years of supervised release, a $2.25 million fine, forfeiture of his pension, and is due to be sentenced on 28 October.
The Labour Party is going to have a secret leadership election, but members aren't invited.
Only MPs and a handful of unions will get to vote (effectively meaning only MPs vote).
The 'Workers Party' has leadership elections even less democratic than the Conservatives.
Urgent ‼️‼️
A dangerous Israeli plan for the ethnic cleansing of the Gaza Strip to be carried out by the Mossad… Israel has made the decision
Israel’s Channel 14 has revealed that a decision has been made to implement a plan to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, led by Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency under the leadership of Major General Roman Gofman.
The Israeli channel reported that, under the direction of Israel’s National Security Council head Shmuel Ben Ezra, the country’s top political leadership held an urgent meeting in recent days with representatives of the security establishment to discuss issues related to migration from the Gaza Strip.
According to the report, the meeting concluded with a decision to place the Mossad in charge of implementing the plan, and a dedicated budget was approved to support the initiative.
The channel added that political sources familiar with the details said that the recent memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and Iran has opened an important window for reaching a comprehensive regional agreement that would also include the issue of migration from Gaza.
I wasn’t foolish enough to expect a major reaction, but it’s still shocking to see such a muted response to a UN report that says the Gaza Genocide continues.
Palestinians are so dehumanized that Israel can deliberately kill CHILDREN without sparking global outrage or action.
Absolutely stunning victory as Greens gain another seat in Brighton & Hove. 🎉
Look at that swing! 🙌🏽👀
Huge congratulations to Nadia and the entire team! 💚
The UN's latest Children and Armed Conflict report has found Israeli forces were the biggest perpetrators of verified grave violations against children globally, and Israeli armed and security forces were responsible for one in four of all verified violations in 2025.
And these figures are just the tip of the iceberg, representing only those cases the UN was able to document, record and verify.
The UK Government must end its complicity and suspend all arms sales to Israel, suspend the UK-Israel trade and partnership agreement, and hold all perpetrators of grave violations to account.
As seen from these California data, nuclear, which provides constant power in the U.S., simply adds to the cost with no benefit.
WindWaterSolar already provides >100% of demand for an average, among all days in 2026, of 5.1 hours per day, meaning nuclear provides no additional benefit and just costs more money.
Plus, the rest of the hours, it is replaceable by 3-8x lower-cost/kWh wind, enhanced geothermal, and solar plus batteries. These techs require only 1-3 y from plan-to-operation v 17-18 y for new nuclear.

Britain's likely next prime minister, Andy Burnham, has made his pick for the highly influential role of chief of staff: a pro-Israel lobbyist who until recently led a firm representing arms companies, private water firms and tech giants.
James Purnell has stepped down as CEO of Flint Global to accept the appointment to Burnham’s team.
Flint does not publish a client list, but its website says it represents firms in the so-called defence sector, and EU transparency records show Google, Microsoft, Apple, BP and Uber among its clients.
Another client is Thames Water, the private utility that has received record-breaking fines for polluting British rivers with raw sewage. Purnell’s appointment therefore raises doubts about Burnham’s previous assertion that Thames Water should be nationalised.
Flint has also advised the mining firm Glencore, which has been accused of corruption and severe human rights abuses in Colombia. The company is alleged to have backed paramilitaries who committed a massacre to drive people from their land to enable mine expansion.
Like Burnham, Purnell voted for the invasion of Iraq and against investigations into it. He was a member of Tony Blair’s cabinet and chaired the pro-Zionist lobby group Labour Friends of Israel between 2002 and 2004. Burnham joined the group in 2015.
“It seems it’s out with the old and in with the old,” Green party leader Zack Polanski told openDemocracy. “What is it about this Labour government that is so keen on bringing in corporate lobbyists into the heart of Downing Street?”
He added: “This is starting to feel like a bit of a Blair and Starmer tribute act, with Labour Together’s Josh Simons also expected to have a senior role.”
Labour Together, which Simons led between 2022 and 2024, was a key vehicle in getting Keir Starmer elected. It has been accused of smearing journalists critical of the Starmer project.
Polanski said more transparency around Flint Global’s clients was vital if Purnell was going to take a senior role in government.
“So there can be no suspicion that James Purnell – a tireless campaigner for welfare cuts – is putting the interests of his clients above those of the people he’s supposed to serve, a full list of Flint Global’s clients must be published.”
Greta Thunberg has warned that 40C heatwaves in the UK are “only the beginning” and says Britain’s leaders have “their heads completely buried in the sand” regarding climate change.
Her comments follow revelations that Labour ministers met fossil fuel industry lobbyists more than 500 times during the party’s first year in power, while Labour MPs took tens of thousands of pounds in donations from oil and gas lobbyists.
The activist, 23, was speaking as the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) issued a rare red heat-health alert for the first time since 2022, with temperatures forecast to reach as high as 40C later this week.
“This is what experts have been warning about for decades,” Thunberg told Metro. “This is unfortunately only the beginning.”
She added: “We know that the climate crisis is here and now, and not a faraway threat in the future, and those suffering the most are the ones who have contributed the least to cause it.”
The red alert – which indicates heat that is life-threatening for even the healthy population – covers the East and West Midlands, London, and southern and east England from 1am on Wednesday until 11pm on Thursday.
The heatwave could also disrupt transport infrastructure, food and water access, energy supplies and force businesses to close, UKHSA warned.
Thunberg said: “What is most concerning about this is not only that we continuously shatter heat records and destabilise the entire biosphere way faster than models have been predicting, but that it is not treated as the existential crisis it is in media and politics.
“The UK’s responsibility for the climate crisis cannot be overstated, still its leaders continue acting as if there was no tomorrow.”
Research by UKHSA published last year found that as well as the elderly, the very young and people with pre-existing medical conditions, people experiencing poverty, overcrowded housing or difficult economic circumstances are also at far greater risk in the heat.
Thunberg’s comments were echoed by climate scientists, including professor Friederike Otto of Imperial College London, who said politicians had failed to respond to the first red heat-health alert in 2022.
“Our first 40C day was supposed to be a wake-up call, but clearly someone hit snooze,” she said.
Do not bother reading tedious Guardian stories or watching boring Newsnight interviews to find out what's going on inside Labour. Just follow Jody.
Burnham is funded by the same people who funded Starmer for the same reason.
If youre still backing labour be ashamed.
