@Eol4242@LordsManor @AngrySpaceBoi I agree that equipment variety is most important. Armor differences will be the best way to incorporate variety in units.
@LordsManor @AngrySpaceBoi @Eol4242 I understand. Strategic gameplay does require unit variety to be enjoyable. Historical mixed units were effective but likely would not translate into enjoyable gameplay without more strategic options.
@LordsManor @AngrySpaceBoi @Eol4242 If your estate has to create the weapons and provide them to the local troops, assigning available weapons to a formation and deciding the percentage of each in the formation would work for mixed units.
@Mount_and_Blade A more organized defense of the keep would be more realistic. They had arrow slits and murder holes in the keeps too, basically making them labyrinths of death. A simplified layout with barricades to slow down attackers would be within reason.
@LordsManor The availability of gear should be tied to production buildings in the region. This availability should be reflected in the armory and the customization of militia should be available at the central government building. Also allow multiple groups customizable at the building.
