@Trooonsformer@cloudrako_o transgender polls indicate that anywhere from 55 to 60% of all transgender people avoid using public restrooms for safety concerns
less than 10 out of 510,000 olympic athletes were affected by the transgender ban
got any better etceteras?
@jellyfisze so right now, as of current, the issue of transgender-affirming-care taking up taxpayer money is not that big of a problem, given how the restrictions imposed upon diagnosis are?
@jellyfisze gender dysphoria is a very hard thing to stamp as a "definite yes" or "definite no", and varies case-to-case... it would never be an everyone-or-nobody scheme in terms of government funding, it would cost more than necessary
@jellyfisze@compodulator@favsupporttrans different facilities are in place according to the need of the individual... the same way a university does not have special classes for preschoolers... because each individual has certain needs to be fulfilled... that's one among the most basic tenets of egalitarianism.
@compodulator the biggest 'damage' that puberty blockers do to someone is just reduces their bone density, which is because puberty increases bone density... and these effects can be reversed if the person of interest goes off puberty blockers... it's not permanent
