The First 1001 Days Movement is a coalition of over 200 charities and professionals who believe that babies’ emotional wellbeing and development matters.
Following recent news about an infant formula recall, we want to assure parents that it is safe for them to switch to another brand. There is no evidence that switching formulas does any harm.
If you are using a specialised formula, please speak to your health professional about a suitable alternative.
If you’re concerned that the formula you’re currently using may be affected, please check the Food Standards Agency (@foodgov) website for the most up-to-date recall information.

Social media support is also available 💜
The First 1001 Days Movement welcomes the government’s decision to abolish the two-child limit. Growing up in poverty can harm a baby’s healthy growth and development, with lasting effects on their wellbeing now and in the future.
