@musksson In elder scrolls the divines are basically the only entities who don't manifest directly or have any obvious power to call forth, they're basically an irl religion
@TheVoidwalker09 Paying up front or pay more is literally how destiny works though? Deluxe edition or now 12 dollar seasons.
And your friend doesnt have all the destiny content for $150, just this years I assume. Theres no way you can get all expansions, the current season and the 30th for $150
@TheVoidwalker09 Additionally, that is assuming you started both series from the beginning. FFXIV expansions include the previous, as well as the free trial including heavensward and soon, stormblood, so you can experience a lot of it for free.
Destiny is charging for everything, even forsaken
@TheVoidwalker09 incorrect. Assuming you pay for a full year, its $80, and if you go monthly, theres a 12 dollar option. Additionally its expected that if you dont enjoy the social experience in between updates, you stop playing until the next content drop so that cuts out ~4 months (1/2)
@DovahCris Yeah we'll see if that's true when final shape is priced lmao, copium
The mic drop moment doesn't work if you keep responding.
Even in this hyper specific comparison, all FFXIV has to do is not play for one (1) month and you've equalized it. During a content drought.
@DovahCris Lol you're still wrong, 40+80 isnt 150. And 100 was before the seasonal price hike.
And yeah no shit legacy contents relevant. What, you think you just ignore old content? "Oh who needs to play Vow or the WQ campaign or experience Shadowbringers"
Thats not how games work? lmao
@DovahCris You whined about it not being cheaper. Its $120 for everything. And you can experience the first expansion, soon two expansions, completely free to try out.
Destiny is more expensive to get into, and its F2P offers are worse. Its not even close
@DovahCris Oh wow thats still not all the content because you need to purchase Beyond Light, Witch Queen, 30th anniversary, and *checks notes* Forsaken??? The expansion that literally isnt even in the game anymore??? because I guess you're buying the ability to earn exotics?
@DovahCris Yeah man just keep licking that boot. I made the comparison to FFXIV. You said its worse. This an area FFXIV is just objectively better. Cope harder.
@DovahCris Also, remind me if theres a free trial for destiny? Its free to play, right? So surely, they have to include the first few expansions in that free pool right? FFXIV has ARR, Heavensward, and soon Stormblood.
Surely it has Red War? CoO? Warmind? Forsaken? Shadowkeep?? BL??
@DovahCris If you get into it right now, you can get a full year sub at $80 buying upfront, and previous expansions are included in the most recent. Lets see Destiny's..
Oh. Oh nooo
(Yes theres overlap here. And god I wish I could get a discount during the lulls in seasons holy shit)
@DovahCris Considering Square Enix regularly tells people to not sub in between content drops if you arent enjoying the social experience, no, you'd have 4-6 months cut out of that sub cost, putting it squarely at or cheaper than Destiny 2
@gouinu01@D2Leaks A lot actually. Most MMOs. FFXIV, even ESO slices and diced content but you just get them if you pay a sub cost, and it doesn't go away so you can binge it at later dates for cheap if pricing becomes an issue.
@StickmanSouza@CaseyExplosion I would argue the continuing expanding of the map in elden ring, which purposely misleads you to thinking it's smaller than it is, showcases it's made to be long. It just never feels bloated. It has the catacombs, but that's simply providing consistent exploration
