I'm always in awe of Orio Palmer, Chief of Battalion 7 on 9/11.

Single handedly fixed an elevator+radio receivers, and climbed 37 floors in 32 minutes with 50lbs of gear on his back to reach the 78th floor impact zone and provided hope to those laying injured.
