We farm the sandy soils of PEI growing cash crops and forages for our cow/calf operation. Hockey Dad and Coach. I’m either in the barn, field,or the rink
@Pasztor79@apasztor82 I’m going to have to disagree on this one. I have 3 kids that play AA hockey. Not travel teams but rep hockey that requires multiple ice times and commitment. We are far from wealthy… trust me. But, it’s a choice we make. Rather than high end vacation, etc.its bout priorities.
@RSHFarms@PentaFarmEquip Curious if the baler had knives used or not? Or if you have sued both kind of bales and how much of a difference there is from knifed/not knifed.
As Jocelyn and I have grown our pig business over multiple years we have entrusted faith and trust in many people to grow pigs for us in contract barns. We have always given the benefit of doubt when closeout numbers or mortality didn’t line up. Today we learned a lot
@rhofford I keep powered colostrum on hand. Don’t have much of a set up for catching cows so the calves that are slow or stupid get a blast of colostrum right into the gut. Sometimes takes 2 feedings. Gets the calf going and usually gets nursing after that. Far easier than tying up a cow
PEI RCMP are engaged in a police operation in the Urbainville area of Prince County. Several police vehicles are present. RCMP are asking the public to avoid this area. Rte 124 (Wellington Rd.) & Rte 125 (Hacmatack Rd.) are closed to all traffic. Updates on PEI RCMP social media.
