“If you haven’t heard the name Daniel Kelly, you’re going to hear more and more, and more of it, because he’s turning into this generation’s Mel Kiper over social media. He’s called First Round Mock.”
—Jason Whitlock
BREAKING: Jeremiah Smith has informed Ryan Day and Ohio State that he will OPT OUT of the rest of the season.
His collegiate career will be defined by unfulfilled promise and no achievements.
Part of me wonders if Arch Manning will quit playing football after this season.
I’m the only person in America saying this out loud.
Why am I saying this?
I’ve studied every single snap Manning has played in college and there has been such a dramatic change in him from when I first began evaluating him on his 2023 and 2024 spot reps behind Quinn Ewers until now…
And it all continues to consistently trend in the wrong direction 📉
Back on his 2023 and 2024 reps he played with tempo and he looked confident.
He looks like a different guy now.
Truth be told, Manning has not looked comfortable as the Longhorns’ starter from opening day in 2025.
He has not looked comfortable in his own skin.
This season he hasn’t even looked comfortable in his uniform as he’s always doing this thing with his arm trying to loosen up.
Manning looked far more comfortable in the backup role behind Ewers.
Here’s the other thing—
Manning does not look like he is having fun out there anymore.
He’s legit smiled one time this season after winning against Ole Miss in his post game interview.
He’s looked like he’s had to try to work himself up to be confident and he’s looked passive aggressive.
He does lot look like he is having fun out there anymore.
Is it too much pressure for him being a starter?
Is it too much pressure for him trying to live up to his last name?
Is it too much pressure for him trying to develop and to become “NFL-ready?”
Those are questions only he can answer, but I can tell everybody this, there is something off about him.
Something is not right.
Here’s the concerning part—
He’s becoming more and more careless and reckless running the ball.
He’s absorbing more and more heavy contact in the pocket.
It’s like he wants to feel pain. It’s like he wants to take a beating. He’s playing like he wants to get injured so that can be “his out.”
He’s hardly sliding or running out of bounds anymore.
Something is going on with him.
It’s almost like he hates himself.
That’s what it looks like.
I don’t know where he goes from here. Even with all the surrounding support he has playing for a college powerhouse team, he hasn’t turned the corner in terms of his development.
If anything, he’s further regressed this season.
He’s not developing into a two-read quarterback.
He’s stuck being a one-read quarterback whose strengths seem to be handing the ball off and throwing elementary short passes.
He’s also looks very moody during the games. He’s very “hot” and “cold” in terms of his performances in these games. He’s very streaky. His performance mirrors his body language in these games.
Most of the time he looks down, lethargic, spaced out, sad, depressed, and like he’d rather be anywhere than behind center.
I feel like he’s crying for help but nobody is listening.
I’m listening.
I hear it.
I see it.
It’s hard to miss.
It’s written all over him during these games and the cameras love to show him.
That’s one of the advantages of studying televised game film vs. ALL-22. The televised game film captures the human element.
What’s transferring to another school going to do besides make him some more NIL money?
What’s transferring to a lesser ranked program going to do for him besides offer him a softer schedule to throw against?
What’s that going to do besides get him overhyped and over-drafted in the NFL and really put him in a blender against an even higher level of competition?
The most concerning part to me is Texas has tried to really dial it back to salvage him the past couple games. It’s been almost all one read throws like it was on his 2023 and 2024 reps, but it’s not working. It’s not restoring his confidence.
I think all of this has been too much for him.
What’s entering the 2027 NFL Draft going to do for him?
The skillset and mindset he’s put on tape so far this season does not project well to the NFL.
Texas star wide receiver Cam Coleman isn’t taking part in drills in early warm-ups at Missouri, a sign he’s not expected to play today. He’d been considered a game-time decision.
All these kids getting advice should definitely be aware of Dante Moore
If he went 2nd to the Jets - four-year contract worth $54.6 million, ($36.8 million signing bonus)
We’ll see if he goes first round next year

@DieHard_Chicago Caleb Williams is not special. He’s just a glorified game manager (short pass merchant) who can’t control his emotions surrounded by a good team that’s carrying him and it seems nobody can separate the two. Nobody but me.
I evaluated every snap Darian Mensah played at Duke during the 2025 season and ended up putting a 7th round grade on him last season: https://t.co/2Gg8LCstW9
Has Darian Mensah (transfer from Duke) been hiding behind a college powerhouse team that was coming off an appearance in the National Championship Game?
Darian Mensah | QB | Miami | 6-3, 205
Huge opportunity for him vs. Notre Dame. On the road, in a tough environment, without his go-to weapon. Mensah’s been extremely efficient and accurate this year. This is the best defense he’s seen to date.
