@geezerpenn @tkb417 Totally agree there's a trust deficit but the country is broke, and we don't have a choice than to bell the subsidy cat.
The responsibility now lies with us to take the govt up on the other issues and implementing all other cost cutting measures like the orosanye report.

@geezerpenn @tkb417 A lot of people presented this angle in 2012 to justify the Ojota protest.
However, taking out subsidy creates a free, competitive market that encourages investment in the downstream sector, which may eventually lead to a drop in fuel price. That's also 1 cookie jar down.
