As I said to @patrickbetdavid, and I as I have said to everyone who asks me if I’d like to one day interview Trump and what I’d ask him if he ever (lol) agreed, it would last like two mins tops.
The guy is a snowflake. He’d walk out, I always say. And here he is walking out:
Things most Americans agree on:
Groceries cost too much.
Tariffs suck and make no sense.
Congress and Presidents shouldn’t trade stocks.
The debt is a mess.
The border should be secure, but legal immigration is good.
Endless wars are stupid, especially ones that nobody wants and have never been explained.
Americans are exhausted.
AI is like my new best friend that also might be trying to take my job, my ability to think for myself, and my humanity in the process. Yo like I love you, but WTF, but I still love you.
Diversity is actually awesome! The opposite is boring AF.
Canadians are super fucking cool.
Mexicans are chill.
Putin isn’t a good guy looking out for America’s best interest. Rocky IV and Miracle are great movies.
Good neighbors are a blessing.
Freedom of religion and coexistence without having to blow each other up is probably a good idea.
We all question, are we alone in the universe?
We all fuck up along the way.
Epstein didn’t hang himself.
The Trumps and Epstein were best friends for decades. It’s like Bert trying to tell us Ernie was just an acquaintance in the same social scene on Sesame Street back in the day.
The Cowboys suck. Go Birds!
Things we’re told to fight about:
Me.
Laptop.
Vaccines.
Transgenders in sports.
Pronouns.
That’s the joke.
“People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening”
The wife of the president is saying a comedian should be banned from TV, is calling on ABC to fire Kimmel for a joke she didn’t like.
And the GOP have the nerve to say they support free speech!
When I look up at that rocket and the four astronauts sitting on top of it, I see America at its very best. Our country is deeply divided and we have real challenges. But I'd encourage everyone to watch this launch today and be proud of our country and what we're capable of when we work together.
ROG on Everton's New Owners: The Friedkin Group 🙌
How rarely do I get to type this: INCREDIBLE NEWS FOR EVERTON FOOTBALL CLUB. This morning, Everton’s takeover by the Houston-based Friedkin family was approved, bringing to an end 8 years of purgatory and self-inflicted chaos under Mad King Farhad Moshiri. Dan Friedkin, who also owns AS Roma, made his fortune in the automotive industry, via Gulf States Toyota Distributors, and is also celebrated for his vintage plane collection which featured in the movie Dunkirk. It feels so long since the club I love has had anything to celebrate. We have danced in dodging relegation, in overcoming Points Deductions, in seeing off the 777 Partners Ponzi Scheme and cheating death. To have a real cause to celebrate, and leadership who can usher in a period of stability for the club is an ecstasy. Everton and Stability! A pairing which is almost as unfathomable as the idea of me with hair. The Everton fans—who have for too long been the good thing about the club—deserve to savor the emergence of this once great team from the wilderness. To better days ahead for all 💙💙💙
Hard to believe it’s been a year since we played our hometown show at the 3Arena in Dublin. Thanks to everyone who made it one of the most special nights of our lives.
Allred: When Cruz starts talking about teen sports, you gotta watch out because the only position he ever played was left out. I’m not trying to be mean but sit this one out
Everton positives:
✅ Ashley Young is banned for 3 games
✅ We still have Englands number 1
✅ We still have Jarrad Branthwaite
✅ Tim Iroegbunam looks a talent
✅ New owner on the horizon
✅ New stadium next season
✅ We are still in the PL
“Even putting aside Trump’s deadly history of policy failure, sexual abuse or his 34 felony convictions — which, to be clear, we shouldn’t — the former president, 78, has been borderline incomprehensible for years.”
