@BenjaminPutano Almost any drug used for mental health is a tool, not a perfectly wrapped solution. You still need other tools in the toolbox.
That said, a tool that helps you remember where you left all of your other tools and helps fix/replace old ones when they break really comes in handy.
@socialclubulti@dcc4nn I ended up liking S3, but I had the same issues about S2. Dug up this rant I sent to a friend a year ago when I finally gave the third season a chance:
@anmack84 @HarambesApostle@foxyjewishmama To be clear, I’m not trying to convince you, individually, to wear a helmet. As long as we agree on the importance of helmets as a public safety standard, feel free to carry on venting about them. Your perspective is still valid as an exception to a rule that applies to so many.
@anmack84 @HarambesApostle@foxyjewishmama Downhill skiing is actually a much better analogy for the risks that cyclists experience in city traffic settings. You wear a helmet because you don’t trust some combo of weather conditions, terrain, and fellow skiers and their fallibility as well as your own.
@HarambesApostle @anmack84 @foxyjewishmama Feel free to draw your own conclusions from this study and accept whatever risks you feel are convenient, but the researchers’ conclusion is that helmet use is associated with a significant reduction in injuries to the head and face as well as mortality: https://t.co/pq8As3ErYa
I am watching this right and Refaat says the following: "Of course we always fall into this trap of saying, 'she [Fadwa Tuqan] was arrested for just writing poetry!' We do this a lot, even us believers in literature...
@WalkableOakland@foxyjewishmama Possibly meant to discourage unsafe speeds given the proximity to pedways in what appears to be a commercial/business district that likely sees heavy foot traffic during the day.
@azzps@foxyjewishmama I see your point, but wonder if @SNGreenways can chime in with more context.
The lane width/markings and landscaping suggest to me that this stretch of bike lane is not intended for high-traffic or speed. Under that assumption, visibility for peds seems fairly reasonable.
Messed around and notched my first sectional tourney win after 15 years of college/club. Couldn’t be happier to have done it with such an amazing group of humans.

@being_ulti People tend to give @hiveult’s hex concepts a hard time, but IMO “inward pivoting” consistently allows for better field vision for continuation looks on under cuts by allowing you to see give-go options from handlers first, then break side *then* deep: https://t.co/RM8Ht8m7ms
@LegsFeedTheW0lf For the record, I only cut deep when it was at least our second possession of the point, so you always had a chance to avoid being skied by not turning the disc over...😈
@LegsFeedTheW0lf Oh great, now I feel even worse about that throw. Did the gauze rip twice as much skin off? I could’ve sworn it was only half that size the other night.
