There's something fishy going on as we've just published some Palaeozoic models on Sketchfab. Check them out @FISHdigitise in #3D, #VR or #AR https://t.co/baPXbIJrQG via @sketchfab
Megatherium was one of the few fossil mammals that were known before Darwin boarded the Beagle and the back of the skull he collected helped to completed this fabulous model in the Museum's fossil way. #MammalMonday#MegatheriumandMe@NHMFossilMammal
Museum palaeontologist Caroline Buttler invited to the Institute of Geology and Palaeontology along with @NHMbryozoa in Nanjing to research Palaeozoic bryozoans. Studying over 200 thin sections, including some of oldest bryozoans in the world
We were also saddened by the fossils that had weathered so badly over the 5 years the site was not collected. 😢You cannot save fossils by leaving them exposed to the elements! I think we need 2 turtles in every garage🤓
For #FossilFriday we've spent the week scanning more of the collection with the help of Simon from @BritGeoSurvey. He assured us it's not an iron really!😀
