My trains full of concert goers with lightsticks tonight while all the Mardi Gras party people are in the city.
I shouldn't be that surprised, feels like everyone's been in Sydney this psst fortnight
'cause I'm late to my own party, I'm in Melbourne for a few weeks (work) & looking for things to do on weekends... so I've technically time for catching up!
Anyone want to hang
(Lol got one pub & two suburb recommended from one of the guys here).
Have found TGE only restaurant in Sydney where after setting off a pre-notified allergic reaction staff:
* Don't offer assistance
* Go out of their way to ignore/avoid you
* Concede to charging half the preset menu price after a long convo with my boss explaining the situation
Also grateful my allergy can be assisted to stop on the early stages with milk of sugar, one of which I can get at most restaurants.
& Yes, it's capscasin (chilli being the culprit on the night)
So yeah, zero care & effort there Alegre Bar & Dining (King st Warf, Sydney).
FYI allergy warnings were given pre-event & on the night.
If you can't cater allergies, please be honest & save your guests from pain & breathing issues instead of caring about just the bill.
Mind you this was an out-of-pocket work Christmas party & before having my mouth behind to swell I'd consumed:
One scallop & a (reworked) mini tostada.
Grateful to the coworker they listened to who got me something to help bring the reaction down before my throat closed.
Lucky me - leaving later meant I'm held up waiting for trains to resume but I didn't walk off the train into a police operation so I'm calling it a win.
If anyone heard me last month mention karaoke - I'm sorry, I haven't organised.
I'll arrange for another time (too many covid/flu's going round work lately ๐ญ)
In delightful news, while they're queuing & moving from one end to the other, the football fans at Redfern station are in great spirits with their chanting & singing!
@melpemone_ Though I'd try the three dots with the artist name/image to see if the 'don't play list ' comes up & is for their catalogue (I've only blocked songs before)
@melpemone_ Possibly on desktop? If they've got a small enough catalogue &/or you've got the requisite spite, you could always block them song by song.
