The battle against the Saw Creek wildfire near Lytton is ongoing as a huge plume of smoke is visible above the area around the community and helicopters move in and out of the smoke. BC Wildfire Service still noting the fire as 600 hectares and major response mobilized.
The wildfire of note near Lytton has grown to 200 hectares in a day. An evacuation order has been issued for properties east of Highway 1 from Florence Road north to Airport Road in Electoral Area I.
