@GoToThePictures Or women.
I thought the whole push for more women in action was meant to bring in a female audience. It's done the opposite.
They pander to everyone but the fans and actually have no clue on how to attract women
DCU is dead.
Picking a fight with fans is the white flag.
MOT is going to face a hate campaign and it's likely to underperform. It's going to be nasty this next year going into that movie. #Supergirl
@EyerotGaming@joerussotweets The interviews and the people hating Milly are not why it flopped.
Superhero fatigue
Hollywood damaged female action films with their woke crap
And they don't actually know what women will watch
@DiscussingFilm Hollywood doesn't understand the audiences these movies need to appeal to.
Feminist don't understand Women.
And they've completely shit on men to the point men will not support these movies.
Until there is acknowledgement of this. Female action movies will continue to flop.
@TannerCheck@JamesPrescott77 Movie did what was predicted. This is deeper than being a good movie or not.
Furiosa and Ballerina were the sign female action was dead in the water
@MoviesThatMaher Clayface is not overly important. Lower budget film in a genre that's popping is not an indicator.
Man of Tomorrow is the ultimate test
@andy_hall23@joerussotweets I liked it for the most part. Even though I like Milly in, I think for the story they were trying to which is from True Grit she was a mis cast.
In the comic Supergirl towers over Ruthye. In the movie they are closer to the same size and it loses that visual of a protector.
@AngryJoeShow None of these arguments would land with people if Hollywood didn't fully embrace woke ideologies
Hiring women to do direct movies because supposedly they understood women.
The race swapping of characters
A lot of this, Hollywood brought on themselves
@ChocolateC7227@DraxGeekyPundit@joerussotweets If you watched the trailer you immediately know there is no male love interest and she's stumbling around drunk. And she looks lonely.
That's enough right there to miss with women
@DraxGeekyPundit@joerussotweets Women don't want to to see themselves as a lonely action hero. They want to either see themselves as women being women or women with a strong romance.
Wicked, Devil Wears Prada, Wonder Woman 2017, and Barbie.
@DraxGeekyPundit@joerussotweets Never said it was about that.... But when your lead brings it up it plants a narrative.
Plus women don't care to watch a lonely grumpy single straight woman either
@MrGabeHernandez I don't know. If they actually found a blonde with some height and didn't look like she was only a couple years older than Ruthye it might have worked.
@sarahchblum@joerussotweets I liked the movie. Just like I liked Ballerina and Furiosa.
But Hollywood ran the idea of strong female characters into the ground to the point these movies struggle with the genre's audience while not being able to find a female audience
