The greatest mistake you can do when you're dealing with anxiety is trying to use logic.
You can't convince yourself out of anxiety.
It will never work.
Let me show you what works...
Greatness for you should be an undeniable impact. The ability to transform a given field or position in some significant way through the convergence of porous potential, disciplined will, and talent. Be great today 🎈
Today is not the day to force it.
I always skip FOMC days, even if it looks "clean".
Why? The journal tells me. You don't journal? You'll stay unprofitable.

Wealth is transient. What previous generations considered as wealth are no longer important to future generations. I had a deep conversation with a relative recently. His parents are wealthy by Nigerian standards but he is not at all interested in what they have as he has seen better out there in the world.
He said that others are thinking about investing in NVIDIA and other semiconductor companies, his parents are thinking of Nigerian assets in an economy with constant devaluation due to inflationary pressures.
One of my in-laws explained it clearly to us at a family meeting a couple of years ago. Your African assets have to constantly earn above the local inflation rate or else you are digging a hole and not building generational wealth.
It made me realize that most of the families we consider as those with generational wealth were either fortunate to be in the right geography and with little conflict, or have derisked everything with a global presence.
My late grandmother did her bit with trading and opening a restaurant. Her son tried to do better with land acquisitions, and I am doing something totally different from both in tech. I don't know what my children will do in future, but the best thing my grandmother did with her wealth was to provide her children with education. Knowledge is the true generational wealth. It helps to open up opportunities.
If you’re between the ages of 25-35.
Invest ₦30k monthly and touch your first ₦100m after 245 months. 20% return p.a
Your time starts now, please take action before old age knocks in.
What you do in private always shows in public. Reading shows in conversations. Your workouts show in your physique. Your diet shows in your energy. Your discipline shows in your confidence. Your focus shows in your results. You are what you cultivate when no one is watching.
abuse your unfair advantage everywhere
everyone has it
> if you live in your mom's basement w no responsibilities, work 12 hr days
> if your know a guy who knows a guy, call that guy
> if your parents paid for ur college, invest your time in up-skilling urself
you were not raised to be a bum
life isnt an even playing field
all the "winners" are not playing fair
to catch up you have to identify your unfair advantage
and abuse it
If you even slightly entertain the thought of failure, you give your mind a chance to start noticing reasons to fail. But if the only option on your mind is to win, then the world seems to conspire in your favor, because your mind will notice opportunities it wouldn't have before. Become delusionally optimistic, not because it's realistic, but because it's effective. It drastically increases your chances of success.
The fact that we’ve got the most generational CB talent and the most generational forward (player) on the planet…
There is nothing remotely like La Masia.
a16z co-founder Ben Horowitz on the single instinct that separates great leaders from failed ones: "You need to run towards the pain and darkness and not away from it."
When you finally get that momentum you’ve been grinding for, that’s the time to go all out. This is what you’ve been working for, this is what the pain was for, this is what those lessons & humiliation were for, to equip you for this.
Do not lose it being lazy to do the work!
Adenike Ogunlesi, founder of Ruff 'n' Tumble, reveals she started an investment portfolio at 22 years old, and sold at $80k to start her company.
She talks about the importance of investing your money at a young age.
She says it takes time, patience and discipline to invest.
The skill that changed my life: Learning to think in systems, not goals. Goals say "lose 20 pounds." Systems say "never eat alone, always walk during calls. don't let bad food into the house." Goals rely on willpower. Systems rely on environment.
susquehanna traded 2.7 billion options contracts in 2023.
more than the entire US options industry traded in all of 2007.
3,200 people. 17 offices. estimated $7.2 billion in revenue. trading their own capital.
they just put out a video of their mathematicians explaining how they actually think about markets.
what they said:
"finding patterns is easy. understanding that those patterns reflect something fundamental about data is challenging."
on machine learning: "these black boxes find patterns, they make predictions. but these predictions are based in the data that they see, and not in the assumptions that may be true about the world."
on AI: "AI itself is a superpower. the challenge is to develop new methodology to insert theory and assumption into the system."
but the part that got me was the first twenty seconds.
"markets are constantly generating information. people react to that information, they react to each other, and they adjust their behavior."
"as a result, the signal is going to be weak. the noise is going to be enormous, and whatever patterns you're going to find might not persist for very long."
one of the largest options market makers on earth saying, in their own video, that signal is often weak, the noise is enormous, and the patterns decay.
make you understand why constant adapting and research is needed.
trading is never a one and done.
