@NFPublication @KatyKray73 A tariff is an import tax but yet we can tax our resources . They slapped a tariff on all beef over 2.7million tonnes to protect their own farmers. So beef under 2.7million tonnes does not have this tariff but yes we can and should tax our resources.

@Blackie_White @OneNationAus This 55% also affects USA, Argentina, Brazil on their imports. The 2.7im tonne limit before they start charging Tariffs is to protect their farmers over there. What’s this got to do with what party is in power in Australia? 🤦‍♂️

@Blackie_White @OneNationAus Yep, 55% after the quota of 2.7million tonnes. The 55% is for all beef imports for them not just Australian beef. Your image also states when they hit the “quota”. What it leaves out is it if for all their imports of beef not just Australian beef after 2.7Million tonnes.

@KD34388354 @IanBatchelor11 @KatyKray73 The quota is total import for them too. Like you said it’s to protect their farmers so now the 55% is for all their imports on beef. People seem to think it’s just for Australia. 🤦‍♂️

@IanBatchelor11 @KatyKray73 Tariff is only if total imports hit 2.5million tonnes. After that any import of beef had the tariff, this includes the USA and Brazil. We currently supply 205,000 tonnes. .
