Let's look at what "losing" looked like.
2,400 US deaths in 20 years vs 85,000+ Taliban. A 20:1 exchange rate.

Taliban never won a single engagement against US forces. They took Kunduz twice while we were in Afghanistan, but ejected within days both times.

Original mission was to destroy al-Qaeda's safe haven. Kabul fell in 5 weeks, Allah Queda gutted, bin Laden shot in his bedroom, zero attacks from Afghan on US soil in 25 years. Mission accomplished.

We negotiated an exit at Doha while the Taliban begged for prisoner releases. Zero US combat deaths from the Taliban from Feb 2020 to withdrawal. They beat the Afghan government after we left, not us.

The US lost a political nation building project, not a war. And that's exactly why your Iran analogy dies, there's no nation to build, no occupation to bleed. Just a state with fixed targets and no air force.

And what did "owning us" win the Taliban? A broken nation with frozen reserves and pariah state at war with Pakistan currently. Enjoy.

Category error. The Taliban never won a single conventional fight, they got blown out of Kabul in weeks in 2001 by airpower and a few hundred special forces. What they "won" was a 20 year occupation and nation building political project, by hiding among civilians and waiting us out.

Nobody is occupying Iran. There are no patrols, no province to hold, no government to build. It's carriers and bombers degrading a state's fixed military infrastructure from afar. No nation building needed to deprive them of the ability to have nuclear weapons.

Pipelines bypass the strait and the oil ships out from the other side via the Red Sea or Suez canal.

"Khuliqa min" is created from. The Quran says it twice. In the verse itself.
If it's not about origin, why does it ask what man was created from, then answer with the fluid?

-Black Stone was honored and kissed by pagans. Muslims kiss and lick this stone believing the stone will give them extra points for heaven.
-Tawaf (circling the Kaaba 7 times) was a pagan ritual. Muslims copy the pagans circling it 7 times exactly like pagans.

1. 86:7 says the human is CREATED from this fluid. Amniotic fluid doesn't create anything, it's 98% water, mostly baby urine by the third trimester. The baby produces it, not the mother or father.

2. The uterus sits in the pelvis. Not between the backbone and ribs. Basic anatomy.

3. "Water breaking" happens at birth, 9 months AFTER creation. The verse is about origin, not delivery.

So your options are:

A. the fluid is semen, which doesn't come from between the spine and ribs
or
B. amniotic fluid, which is in the wrong place AND creates nothing.

Yes. The it reads exactly like what a 7th century author would write, and NOTHING in it reads like what an omniscient author would write.

Now you answer mine, if the author DID know the sun doesn't set anywhere, why did he?:

1. Use "wajada" the same verb in the SAME sentence that finds real people.

2. He didn't use "khuyyila ilayhi," the illusion/perspective he uses in 20:66, The author knows how to say perceived.

3. Muhammad confirms the literal reading of setting in a pool when Abu Dharr asked him directly (Abi Dawud 4002, sahih)

An author who knows the truth has three chances to show it and passes on all three. An author who doesn't know writes exactly this.

I would like to add to it also. Open your Quran at 18:83. Who's talking?

"Say: I will recite to you a remembrance of him." Then immediately: "Indeed WE established him in the earth"

That's Allah narrating. First person.

And the divine "We" is still talking at 18:91: "WE had encompassed in knowledge all he had."

So 18:86 "he found it setting in a muddy spring" is INSIDE a story bracketed on both ends by Allah speaking in first person. This is not Dhul Qarnayn's travel diary or perspective. It's the omniscient narrator describing what happened.

And like I said the Quran KNOWS how to flag an illusion or perception when it wants to.

20:66: "yukhayyalu ilayhi" it was MADE TO APPEAR to Moses that the ropes were moving. Allah knows how to say something appeared a certain way without being true. It was not used in 18:86.

Additionally, the Sahih Hadith Sunan Abi Dawud 4002. Abu Dharr asks Muhammad about this exact verse. Muhammad's answer? The sun "sets in a spring of warm water." The prophet himself confirms it.

Allah narrates it. The illusion/perception vocabulary exists and isn't used, its saying he found the sun setting in the muddy pool, not appeared to be. Muhammad confirms the literal reading.

It's fueled by relgious differences, they cant agree on what is actually true or to what degree. This has been going on before the West arrived.

The British just exploited divisions like any military would. They didn't invent 1,300 years of them.

The peace lasted 24 years after Muhammad died. I took 5 minutes to check.

680: Karbala. Muhammad's own grandson Husayn beheaded by the caliph's forces

1514: Chaldiran. Ottoman Sunnis vs Safavid Shia. Selim I executes tens of thousands of Shia in Anatolia; Safavids forcibly convert Iran and persecute Sunnis
1802: Wahhabis sack Karbala and slaughter thousands of Shia, before Britain had any footprint in the Gulf interior.

Four caliphs. Three assassinated by Muslims. The Sunni-Shia split that drives TODAY'S conflicts is from 632 AD, not 1916. Even Sunnis are killing each other over different interpretations because the Quran isn't as clear as it claims to be. And Muhammad's teachings are morally objectionable by good people. Islam divides more than it unites.
