Mydin said it loses about RM500,000 a year due to missing or stolen shopping trolleys across its 76 outlets, with each trolley costing around RM500.

The hypermarket said it has lodged police reports over the issue, adding that such losses ultimately contribute to higher costs for consumers, The Star reported.
