@j_divis I used to revere my “priesthood lineage”. Then I learned it wasn’t until 1835 when Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery inserted new references to John the Baptist and Peter, James, and John into earlier revelations. In other words, they retrofit the story 5 years later. It’s made up.

@LargeInStature_ I think the only thing worse than people lying about/mischaracterizing my beliefs is when they start assigning motives for why i don’t believe. It couldn't possibly be that I just read the scriptures, studied Church history, prayed about it, and decided it was untrue.

LDS teachings have no satisfactory answer in this area. None. Just be celibate, or marry against your attraction. Absurd.

@askagain_ornot @joshnaa2gez @Mormonger Homosexuality is more than a predisposition. It’s innate sexuality. It’s as ingrained as your (presumed) heterosexuality. Why would God make some homosexuals and then make a plan where they literally don’t fit?

@justin_hart @Mormonger By 1980, there had been 7 significant revision projects, with textual changes to the Book of Mormon from the original manuscript numbering in the THOUSANDS. So yeah, any linguistic analysis is going to be completely useless, unless you run the original manuscript. Nice try.
