Michael Winstead Jr( @mjwinstead_ ) is a 6 foot 1 lead guard out of National Powerhouse Winston-Salem Christian. With a 6'6 wingspan & an already impressive 175lb frame, "MJ" made serious noise in the EPL this season, averaging 17ppg, 5apg & 4rpg. What else makes him a prospect to know in 2025? The Breakdown

With such a fantastic wingspan and a frame that continues to fill out, Winstead Jr is insanely tough to stop from getting rim touches, blending his exceptional first step with the wiggle & finesse to be dangerous at all 3 levels. In one span, MJ was averaging 25+ against nationally ranked programs.

In the modern era, an aggressive lead guard that can also consistently help the bigs with boards is special. With his wingspan, despite being a point guard, MJ is constantly a threat on the glass. The Winston-Salem floor general managed to bring in 4 boards a night against consistent, d1 laced front courts. A PG that can be reliable to create off of boards is exceptionally dangerous.

The final major intrigue to Winstead Jr is his creation package. In the modern era, spacing allows archetypes like MJ to absolutely flourish, as a lanky, fluid guard with handle & a quick trigger. He was 4th in the EPL in scoring, while still maintaining 5 assists. With his style of play, the modern spread offenses that we often find to be most dangerous fit MJ perfectly. He is an assassin with floor spacing, as the film & numbers show.
