Hey @altonbrown!
Your allspice dram recipe looks fantastic for milk punch, and you mention in the Holiday Spirts episode it's possible to speed the aging using an IC. Any suggestions on time and temperature? Thank you!
@JordiMonPMM@CTOAdvisor@northlandboy After we got into the rhythm, more exposure helped us creatively problem solve, and often grow the deals. And, it also brought common field issues to the front and helped with prioritization w/ PM. Setting a collaborative culture up front was key. 2/2
@JordiMonPMM@CTOAdvisor@northlandboy We had this issue at a smaller company I was working for, and I started to review all deals above $X by asking peer SEs to do a blind review of the architecture with a rep from Eng and PM. Painful at first, but REALLY healthy exercise long term. 1/2
@JordiMonPMM@CTOAdvisor@northlandboy I've seen things like blind peer reviews by both presales and dev teams help with situations like this. Not eliminate, but significantly help.
@jdooley_clt Great thread. Paranoia, (especially for leaders with the best interest of, and empathy for, their teams) is a healthy and good thing. I'd be more worried if a leader WASN'T afraid.
@CTOAdvisor When I needed to drive my F250 in, I’d always end up parking at the Seaport (there’s a LAZ parking lot there, 22 Boston Wharf Rd), walking across the harbor to Atlantic Ave, and grab Uber/subway.
@vPedroArrow@Channel On a scale of 1 to "I'll never ever have you in my show," how would inviting just you to a slack channel so I could just type @channel rate?
Asking for, uhh, a bunch of your friends.
@Lost_Signal@aaronbuley@vmpete One of my favorite wins ever in my career was selling a three node ESX cluster & array to a really small not-for-profit org dedicated to child poverty. Five discount points on the deal fed almost a hundred kids. Perspective is very powerful. Learned a lot with that one. A LOT.
@Lost_Signal@aaronbuley@vmpete Not to mention with SMBs, every single decision, as small as it seems. has a MASSIVE impact to the success of the shop, and their careers.
@H20nly What's amazing about today's potential in our industry is that, architected correctly, you can bend the data center around the application and services needs - often on demand - rather than compromising bending requirements around what you happen to have in the data center.
@rabiasquared@ASlavitt had a great podcast a couple of weeks ago with an expert on indoor airflow modeling and HVAC, specifically talking about concepts like this. It’s a very good educational listen.
