@MCCCANM Helicopters are like women. Just when you think you’ve finally figured them out, one incomprehensibly tiny variable changes and nothing works the way it did before.
@VanJones68 The other side of that coin is that Democrats are dismissed because they try to derail a Supreme Court nominee over allegations with MUCH less substance, then turn around and justify supporting Platner in the face of very credible allegations or even admitted wrongdoing.
@luke_mccown Our pastor has been going through 1 & 2 Timothy for a couple of months now. Each sermon only covers three or four verses because there’s so much packed in there!
@SeahawkNerd I propose that the Conference Championship Game runners-up play the Conference Champions the following week. Winner of THOSE games go to the Super Bowl. Rams-Seahawks Super Bowl.
@megbasham@discerningdadd There IS something I agree with @megbasham on! 😉. I can’t believe you’re getting hit from both the left AND the right on this. You’re exactly right. This is an important issue, but it’s not a PRIMARY issue. Calling it secondary doesn’t mean you’re one step from capitulation.
@DavidAFrench You quoted your own post in which you condemned voters for supporting apostates. I agree. I wouldn’t support Paxton. But I’m left wondering why it’s acceptable for you to support Talarico?
@broke3121@megbasham Were you one of the Christians who, like me, said of the Lewinsky scandal that a man who would engage in sexual acts with an intern is a man who lacks the judgment and character required to be a leader?
@broke3121@megbasham If a man who I’ve willingly given authority in my life acts in a way the Bible specifically teaches against, then I’m going to be critical of him regardless of the position he holds.
@broke3121@megbasham Is that not the difference you alluded to between a politician and a pastor? A wayward pastor deserves criticism from Christians, but a wayward politician (who says the right things) gets a pass?
@megbasham In my opinion those believers are filtering their faith through the lens of their politics, rather than filtering their politics through the lens of their faith.
@megbasham What I have a problem with is Christians who twist themselves into knots defending his every move, and are unable or unwilling to see anything wrong with him.
