Security video proves it. HR report confirms it. A top employee from Maricopa County Recorder Justin Heap’s office wheeled a ballot scanner out of a locked secure tabulation center. Right in the middle of counting votes for a Tempe election. They loaded it onto a cart, pushed it to an unmarked truck, and drove off.

HR investigated and called it inappropriate. The scanner got yanked for forensic review. Taxpayers ate a $70,000 replacement bill. Chain of custody broken during active election ops.

Here’s the honest cut: When officials from one election office just roll out equipment from a secure facility like it’s office furniture, trust evaporates. We lock these places down for a reason. You don’t casually borrow voting machines mid-count like borrowing a company laptop.

Think about it. Normal folks can’t even bring a phone near ballots. Yet this happens and some call it a “manufactured scandal.” Real people see video of the removal and know exactly what it looks like.

A special prosecutor is now investigating. Good. But the damage to confidence is already done.

How many more “just trust us” moments before Americans demand ironclad reforms?

$fnma $fmcc ... I will have to dig deep to find the congressional testimony I once had saved on the then current administration explaining the warrants. What I do remember specifically is that the testimony the administration representatives (Bush/Paulson reps) gave regarding the warrants was as nearly an explicit intention that the warrants were NEVER meant to be exercised as one could possibly interpret from the testimony - the warrants were intended to be used more as a deterrent against the stock being raided while the entities were being rehabilitated.

Given what has been long known about Paulson's duplicity in the entire matter, as reposted here below, it could very well be the congressional testimony then given by the administration reps was perjured as well. The warrants are tainted, as well as the entire conservatorship as devised by Hank Paulson; Obama and the net worth sweep only further criminalized the whole endeavor. Shareholders rightly deserve full restoration and restitution.
