Sedangkan boṇḍan adalah abdi dalem yang diduga berasal dari tanah Papua. Sayang sekali tidak diketahui mengenai jenis tugas yang harus dikerjakan oleh boṇḍan tersebut.

Bagaimana mereka bisa membedakan antara pujut, boṇḍan, jĕŋgi dan pawuluŋ wuluŋ menandakan bahwa mereka sudah mengenal berbagai orang berkulit hitam tanpa tertukar satu dengan lainnya.

Pada zaman Majapahit perbudakan lebih luas lagi dengan tambahan boleh memperbudak dayang, cabol (orang cebol) dan wungkuk (orang bungkuk).

Dalam penelitian genetika populasi jejak keturunan genetik dari populasi yang berkarakter seperti kelompok Negrito masih terdeteksi dengan menggunakan proxy kelompok pemburu Hoabinhian dari periode awal Neolitik. Kelompok Negrito seperti Semang dan Maniq di Semenanjung Melayu-Thailand merupakan contoh keberlanjutan dari pemburu Hoabinhian periode Paleolitik-Neolitik.

Di Jawa jejak genetik mereka masih dapat deteksi pada masyarakat Dieng saat ini, yang mengindikasikan bahwa percampuran dengan kelompok Negrito juga telah terjadi di masa lalu.

Un 20 de agosto de 1998, el ejército de Estados Unidos bombardeaba con 13 misiles crucero la mayor fábrica de medicinas de toda Sudán, en mitad de una hambruna en el pais que mató a 70.000 personas.

La fábrica producía medicamentos para enfermedades tan agresivas como la malaria y el dengue, proporcionaba el 90% de los suministros médicos vitales que necesitaban los habitantes de Sudán y también en parte el de los países vecinos.

Tras el crimen de guerra, Estados Unidos, lejos de disculparse por bombardear la mayor fuente de recursos médicos de la región, se inventó que la fábrica estaba vinculada a la producción de armas químicas de Osama bin Laden.

Después del bombardeo, el sistema de atención médica sudanés, repito en mitad de una gran hambruna, colapsó, dejando a MILES de pobres sin suministros médicos y muriendo de graves enfermedades. Incluso 25 años después, todavía arrastran la destrucción de esa fábrica.

Sudán solicitó una disculpa oficial varias veces desde el crimen de guerra, pero EEUU nunca pidió perdón ni pagó ninguna compensación por el crimen de guerra, ni la ONU le sancionó, ni el CPI pidió el arresto de nadie, ni la UE le bloqueó económicamente, ni nada de nada.

EEUU años más tarde se vio obligado a admitir indirectamente que bombardearon el objetivo equivocado cuando tuvieron que descongelar las cuentas bancarias del dueño de la fábrica de medicinas, Salaheddin Idriss, luego de una demanda millonaria.

China has ordered immediate switch to homegrown Linux distros, dropping Windows now.

The country's Ministry of State Security has ordered all state-linked entities to stop using Windows immediately, moving up a deadline that was originally set for February 2027.

The directive cites "data security concerns" and pushes organizations toward domestically developed Linux alternatives.

Two distributions are being positioned as the main replacements.

The first is Kylin OS, developed by Kylin Software Co., which evolved from FreeBSD roots into its own independent Linux based operating system.

The second is Unity OS, created by Tongxin Software Technology Co., built on top of Deepin, which itself is based on Debian.

Both have been in development for years with government backing, waiting perhsps for exactly this kind of situation.

China has been signaling this direction for some time, citing concerns about dependency on American technology infrastructure. After the U.S. placed restrictions on Chinese tech firms in recent years, China accelerated its de-Americanization of tech.

Note the scale of the migration. China has hundreds of millions of government-linked computer users. Even a partial migration represents one of the largest single deployments of Linux in human history.

For context, the Munich city government switching to Linux was considered a landmark case. China doing it nationally is an entirely different order of magnitude.

And yes, China is not th only one doing. Europe has been on a similar path, with France, Germany, and several other countries pursuing Windows alternatives over the past decade, driven by data sovereignty concerns and enconmics.

Politics aside, I am happy to see that Linux is now being chosen by governmens on multiple continents.
