It’s crazy because this can actually be everyone’s fallback for when frontier models get too expensive, point your IDE to localhost:xyz.. wait out your limits
Today we’re introducing Gemma 4 12B — our latest open model that brings advanced agentic reasoning, vision and audio directly to your laptop.
It delivers performance nearing our larger Gemma models with a much smaller total memory footprint, while being small enough to run locally with just 16GB of VRAM. It’s open and accessible for everyone to use under a permissive Apache 2.0 license.
This is all made possible by our new, unified architecture that removes separate multimodal encoders. Here’s how we did it 🧵
The next evolution of Hermes Agent is here!
Introducing Hermes Desktop: everything you love about Hermes, now native on your machine.
First demoed in Jensen's GTC keynote, it's now in public preview.
Building apps has never been easier.
With Sites, Codex can turn your work, ideas, and plans into an interactive website or app your team can explore, use, and share with a URL.
Rolling out to Business and Enterprise plans, before expanding more broadly.
I funded my OpenRouter account with $20 in March. It’s almost June and my balance is 11.39 (used 8 ish USD) . Asked Claude to do the maths(of my token consumption) if I’d used Opus 4.6 or Sonnet 4.6 and the cost would’ve been $289 or $173 respectively
Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.
@bigbrutha_ A lot of this is indirectly tied to culture as well. When teams are built around the mindset that engineers are there to complete tasks, you end up having people who’ve aged but haven’t grown
And the cost of switching is pretty much 0 if you use tools that allow you switch models like opencode and Hermes and providers that let you switch like openrouter, fireworks, opencode go etc
Using Opus and Kimi(K2.6) to plan a semi complex rewrite side by side and I can confidently say the 1/5 part of the cost is way louder than the difference in quality
we just launched one of the coolest features for marketers today: Claude Design 🎨
I've posted a lot about building marketing tools without being technical, and this is the visual side of that. I described a landing page editor and Claude built me one.
here's an example of my actual workflow with it 👇
Sony is losing BILLIONS in Nigeria, and Nigerian gamers don't feel bad about it.
Let's be real, when one FIFA game costs ₦80,000 and Nigeria's minimum wage is ₦70,000, what do you expect us to do?! In this video, we're diving deep into the world of jailbroken PlayStation consoles in Nigeria — how it works, why everyone's doing it, and what Sony is (not) doing about it.
We talked to real gamers, a console engineer, and even tried to reach Sony themselves.
The results? Let's just say … Maybe Sony did not think of the Nigerian market.
Running a thinking model directly on my phone’s hardware that can load skills has changed how I see the future of AI playing out. Having a good model isn’t enough I can see why Anthropic is doubling down on building
if you are high up at a company you probably miss the days when you coded and shipped features
you feel a crazy amount of exuberance now that coding agents return some of that back to you
it's a huge mistake to think this is somehow relevant to people working day to day
