Starting today my new personality is going to be of a confused interdisciplinary scholar who keeps reading theories from different disciplines and tries very hard to understand overlaps but eventually gets more confused.

- Reduce barriers to strong students from LMICs getting into leading PhD programs (e.g. waive the often prohibitive application fees)
- Teach grad students in all applied fields (labor, public, environmental, macro, etc.) about research across the global income distribution

@DinaPomeranz Maybe democratize access not just by country but also within country? A lot of international students do come from high SES as well, parents with PhD/higher ed. Most of us who actually grew up poor know first hand what poverty is. Personal motivation is so underrated.
