I just wanna, once again, gently remind new followers I will post dark/taboo content.
This account is very much ship and let ship, anti harassment, do what you want with your fictional toys /in fiction/.
I do not think most people do this. Especially when you’ve been in a fandom awhile. I’ve ready all the highest kudos fics from a decade ago in the MCU and sure new ones join but… Most I’ve read YEARS ago. So idt most people are doing this.
also like doesn’t the fact that people Mostly sort by hits/kudos/bookmarks just defeat the “authors can only write for the love of the game” argument? like we *know* how fan communities decide value and popularity. the snake is eating its own tail.
Is this common? The only time I sort by kudos is trying to find specific decade or older fics that might have some notoriety but I tend to just sort by tag and date added.
I feel like a lot of the people complaining about others archiving their works are young and don’t have an actual concept of WHY ao3 was created. As long as people are appropriately copying and crediting so readers can find your other works or sub, etc. who cares?
Seriously people, I understand but you are contributing to an archive for a reason. People keep Art & fic for this exact reason- preventing their loss.
Most of these people downloading WANT to find you to read more once ao3 returns, or they've long since kudos'd the beloved work
It’s barely been one day of ao3 down and some of yall are already starting ridiculous discourse. Ppl downloading + sharing fics when the site is down is such a lovely example of community and is functioning exactly as ao3 intended: preserving access to fics.
@yvnstarhwx If people want to engage after shutdown, having read fics on drives, they can always do so to add kudos and hits and comments.
You have a string of tweets about being uncared for and a bad writer. Write for yourself and take pride in your work, don’t do it just for attention.
@rismarisle I feel like I haven’t seen anyone else say this yet but I have a list of fics I’m reading on Google docs and I’m just jotting down a comment to go leave when ao3 is back up? It’ll take me like sixty seconds per fic, it’s an easy fix.
Mi micro polla inexistente se levantó en esta escena para palpitar en código morse el nombre de este tipo, pero no supo cómo coño es que se marca la o muda
