breaking: former cpusa ppl turned writers want dsa to endorse the lesser evil candidate in every race - the same strategy as the wildly successful cpusa. maybe us dsa electoral heads should take this seriously!! self crit is important 🧐 voter guides for all ✊
People talk about CA like a leftist utopia but I grew up in the Silicon Valley and an insane amount of people sincerely believe their startup that's just sticking a QR code on a homeless person's forehead will solve the housing crisis or believe homeless ppl just deserve to die
the rest of the state isn’t much better, CA progressiveness is vastly overstated. it got that rep in the 90s cause it was one of the first states to have gay marriage and weed but that was a loong time ago. that shit wouldn’t pass today
@CaralhoPhilly It does without saying, but I think these campist priorities should take a backseat for them when they're talking about Palestine and realise how bizarre this looks to everyone else whose brain hasn't been broken by pro-Russia sympathies.
part of me is sympathetic to the anti-sanctions position but lowkey it’s kinda hard to make sense on why you’d support sanctions on israel and not on russia
nyt can you please have some decency about a decorated war veteran combat surgeon who saved tammy duckworth's life, who treated 9/11 first responders and was in gaza during the genocide. i get that he's muslim and antizionist but this is a shameful and racist subheader!
It’s hard to feel joyful during Pride Month when gay and queer non-profits are supporting establishment Democratic politicians and blocking pro-trans legislation out of worry about losing donors and grants.
