2-0!! Livre de Nuno Mendes. O guarda-redes do Uzbequistão esticou-se tarde, como funcionário público chamado ao balcão depois do almoço. A bola já tinha senha prioritária.
Giro d'Italia🇮🇹 :Biggest Surprise / Revelation of the Giro d’Italia
For me, the biggest revelation of this Giro d’Italia was undoubtedly Afonso Eulálio.
There is simply no other answer. Eulálio finished sixth overall and won the Young Rider Classification, an achievement that i don’t think any could have predicted before the race. Personally, I had him on my radar as a under the radar rider that could surprise, potential fantasy cycling joker the kind of rider who could score points through breakaways and perhaps even take a stage win. But I never expected him to produce the kind of performance he ultimately delivered.
His Giro was absolutely sensational and is likely to be remembered for a very long time.
I always felt that Eulálio was perhaps a little too inconsistent to challenge for a strong overall result in a Grand Tour. Yet, stage after stage, he proved me wrong. Not only did he demonstrate exceptional physical strength, but he also showed remarkable maturity throughout the race.
What impressed me most was not just the results themselves. It was the way he raced. Whether under pressure in the mountains or during the biggest moments of his career, he always seemed relaxed, approachable and genuinely enjoying the experience. Time and again, we saw him smiling at the cameras, even while climbing some of the toughest mountains of the Giro.
He has a very distinctive and engaging personality, and I think it is fair to say that the cycling world fell in love with Afonso Eulálio during this Giro d’Italia.

Porto is the type of city that makes Lisbon feel a little too polished.
Steep streets, blue-tiled churches, old wine cellars, river views, and a rough-around-the-edges beauty that makes it one of Europe’s most soulful cities.
