RING IN 2024 WITH REVIVAL
Well over 100,000 young people gathered to seek God over New Years and to ring in 2024 with revival 🔔😮👏🏼
55,000 at Passion in Atlanta
10,000 at Cross Con in Kentucky
7,000 at Cru national gathering
5,000 at Salt Conference in Iowa
13,500 at Strength to Stand in Tennessee (multiple)
12,000 at Hearts on Fire in Tennessee (Nov)
7,000 at Xtreme in Missouri
Of course there is no way to even begin to calculate the millions of people that gathered at local churches to seek God across the nation and worldwide.
Also countless churches are now calling their congregants to fast and pray in the beginning of the new year.

Many Israelis are now starting to pray with an urgency that is new. Some for the first time. Atheists are finding faith as they step out and discover God is real and hears our prayers.

Last week, the SBC took some steps solidifying its view that women should not be pastors. While I agree that the office of elder is limited to men as qualified by Scripture, I am concerned that a general tone was communicated last week that might discourage faithful Christian women.
With that in mind, I just want to express appreciation for some of the women who have influenced and continue to influence me.
- My mother, Becky. She taught me to love the Bible. She’d read it to me as a child when I was fearful or anxious. She has prayed for me my entire life.
- My wife, Amy. She models Christlikeness in our home. She’s kind to everyone. She’s a great student & teacher of Scripture. She’s an amazing wife and mom.
- My mother-in-law, Nancy. She’s a prayer warrior and encourager.
- My former Sunday School teachers, Ginger and Brittany. They shared so much insight into Scripture week after week without ever seeking attention or glory.
- Theologians and scholars like Karen and Cheryl, who have spurred me in my thinking.
- Songwriters like Fanny who have given voice to the expressions of my heart.
- Missionaries and mission advocates like Lottie and Annie, who challenge me to sacrifice more.
- Prayer warriors like Bertha, who challenge me to stretch my faith.
- Writers like Jen, who think deeply about Scripture and write so eloquently and helpfully.
- Ministers and leaders like Alyssa, Jan, Katie, & Jacki who bring a needed voice to so many conversations.
- Worship leaders like Leanna, Shelby, Olivia, Haley, and Lacy, who faithfully lead in public worship with excellence and humility.
- Friends like Liz and Rachael, who have loved me enough to challenge, correct, and encourage me so I can love and empathize more like Christ.
- Adopted grandmothers like Gaynelle and Cheryl who give me more regular encouragement than almost anyone I know.
I thank God for the godly women who serve Jesus and his people. The church needs women like these!
Needing clarity ?
Prayer is the one hand with which we grasp the invisible. Fasting the other with which we get loose and cast away the visible.
Acts 13: 1-3
Faith needs prayer for its full growth and prayer needs fasting for its full growth.
