If you're attending @ReactSummit my workshop on Intermediate @GatsbyJS starts in 10 minutes!
Learn more about it on https://t.co/kYQjNgJtg2 and hope to see you there!
We'll learn all about Gatsby v3, Gatsby Image, querying Contentful and Sanity, Gatsby Themes and Gatsby Cloud
🚨 An experimental flag for container queries (@container) just hit Chrome Canary!
Yes, seriously!
Go to: chrome://flags in your URL bar and turn on enable-container-queries to try it out.
Here's a demo to help you see how they work (w/flag in Canary): https://t.co/DrZxzoggV4
Variable fonts are a huge step forward for digital typography. We're working to fully support everything they have to offer. Our component builder currently detects variable fonts and exposes controls for the font-width axis.
Optical size, slant, weight, and more coming soon.
Did you know the beta @GatsbyJS image plugin now has full support for remote images. Just pass it the URL and it will download the image and generate all the sizes and formats that you need and wrap them all in a responsive <picture> tag
👋🏽It's been a week since we kicked off #100DaysOfGatsby which means it's time to check in!
❓How's everything going over there? Need help?
🎧Let us know on Gatsby's GitHub Discussion Forum and see how your fellow AudioC0RE "colleagues" are doing.

The new @GatsbyJS image plugin comes with a new, cleaner API.
Which means it needed a comprehensive codemod to go along with it!
Transforming imports, components AND GraphQL queries 🥳
The new beta @GatsbyJS image plugin supports "dominant color" placeholders, so your image galleries can look like your Twitter timeline https://t.co/zr6b6rKoVA
Watch me add a GraphQL API to a WordPress site in 30 seconds (the longest part of the example is writing the query)! 🚀
This is possible with the @wpgraphql plugin which released its V1 today. I'm already a huge fan!
"Fan of WordPress?! Blasphemy!"
Allow me to explain... 🧵
🎊Congratulations to the @wpgraphql team on the launch of WPGraphQL 1.0!

👍🏽 Getting started has never been more straight-forward and data-fetching has never been faster.
We've been working to make images in Gatsby more performant and easier to use. We're nearly there! Try it out and comment on the RFC with your feedback.
Updated our gatsbygram example to the new beta gatsby-plugin-image — took three minutes thanks to compat mode <3
Lighthouse performance score went from 73 to 97 🔥🔥🔥

I’ve just deployed the new @GraphQL website completing the migration to @gatsby - it’s been a bunch of work from
@saihaj and wrapped up by @ardatanrikulu from @TheGuildDev
No UI changes, but it's faster and has solid foundations for future work.

I'm working on a new way to quickly start a new @GatsbyJS project. Very early days, but this gives an idea how it will work. You can try it yourself:
npm init gatsby
...or...
yarn create gatsby
Just finished up writing an RFC for my next project at Gatsby.
Gatsby Functions! 🚀
Easy to use, Serverless functions for your next @GatsbyJS project, hosted on Gatsby Cloud.
I'd love to hear what you think. Check it out at https://t.co/qbdhnFC2dC
I've been working on an idea for a new @GatsbyJS static image component with a simpler API. I'd really appreciate feedback. Would you use it? Would you like it to work differently? Try it out here, and leave comments: https://t.co/8O7NWY0SNd
