And no one stopped to think in the last 10 years “oh gee I wonder if that could lead ppl to some harmful and reactionary ideas about queer people?”
Or “gee I wonder if ppl will use this to launder racist and homophobic beliefs about men of color and gay men?”
and then people make fun of trans men who are scared to go on t & accuse them of faking it when it’s so clearly a direct result of fear mongering against testosterone & how it will “ruin” you, which we already get from cis people & are now getting from our own fucking community
bi women really belong together because they deserve to be loved fully and completely in their bisexuality with other women who understand their experience.
"omg i would throw up if-" good thing this isn't about you and doesn't concern you in the slightest. leave bi women alone
"femboys aren't affected by transmisogyny because they aren't trans" is a hilarious take. kid gets beaten for being feminine while being "amab", onlooker has to determine if they're trans before feeling like it's a bad thing
Masculinity is a prison. Conscription is one abusive ass facet of it. They purposefully sell it as “powerful”, the people eating it up are in for a rude awakening when the PTSD hits.
Just bc you think he is hot and want to fuck him doesn’t mean he is actually powerful
Unless you define power by your ability to kill innocent civilians on behalf of empire
@pussyliqours Standard procedure for “queer” people like this: try to therapyspeak and gaslight me into accepting being misgendered, unsuccessfully. Then accuse me of lesbophobia when i point them towards, you know, actual women, like trans women.
Have to agree on guys who want to get into “AFAB-ONLY” spaces. You can see it’s a hateful cult from miles away.
I won’t hear any whining about not getting into super secret radfem cis girl club either, though.
The inverse “FLINTA” etc is just as essentialist + toxic.
@ellagoer_t4t Lots of healthcare providers also use the “empowered women” mischaracterisation of FtM and NB dysphoria. My guess is they see it as less threatening + less binary (even for the one guy). So it ties into the same i suppose?
@tfpumpreloaded@monkeycel I did use the binder for about 5 or so years, A LOT. I had xrays done for asthma and the pulmonologist said it made no difference, but you have to do it safely. Tape is a good option for those who are smaller, less pressure on everything.
@monkeycel@endangeredhet I had lipo a few months ago! It was indeed life-changing. Final results take ages though, still waiting until january follow-up
@somedayskinny_ Honestly, a good psychiatrist who sees sense in medication AND therapy together. Your nervous system is physiologically on high alert and it won’t be receptive to, nor will therapy stick as well without some pharmacological help.
@burnthelilacs Like is it ever questioned WHY? Why is it less desirable, less idealised and more fearmongered to be a man, why is it lonelier, why is it harder to access hormones, or be happily partnered or why are our outcomes worse? No, just blame it on “less dysphoria”, good job
Anti-torture annual report: Rights of transgender prisoners in focus.
The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) recognises that transgender prison inmates are a highly vulnerable group requiring enhanced state protection.
Under the European Convention on Human Rights, particularly Article 8 (Right to respect for private and family life), the Court mandates that prison authorities provide access to gender-affirming healthcare, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
Court's legal framework and the broader Council of Europe standards regarding transgender inmates are built around several key principles:
1. Access to Gender-Affirming Healthcare.
In the landmark case of W.W. v. Poland, the ECtHR ruled that denying a transgender inmate access to medically prescribed hormone therapy violates Article 8.
The Court determined that self-determination and gender identity are essential aspects of private life, and states place a disproportionate burden on inmates by requiring them to undergo additional, unnecessary medical consultations to prove the necessity of life-improving or life-saving treatment.
2. Prison Accommodation and Placement.
Placement of transgender prisoners remains one of the most complex issues within European penal systems. The European Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT), which operates alongside the ECtHR, enforces standards stipulating that:
•Transgender individuals should generally be accommodated in the prison section corresponding to their gender identity.
•Isolation or segregation should remain strictly exceptional, short-term, and only used for the inmate's protection.
•Inmates must be allowed to express their gender identity through access to appropriate clothing, cosmetics, and hygiene products.
3. Safety and Anti-Violence Safeguards.
The ECtHR and the CPT mandate that national prison authorities actively prevent ill-treatment, intimidation, and inter-prison violence targeting transgender individuals. Because transgender inmates are frequently exposed to high risks of abuse from both staff and other prisoners, authorities are required to train prison staff appropriately and enforce strict anti-discrimination policies.
Body searches must also be conducted in a manner that respects the individual's dignity and does not cause psychological harm.

@lastheighthon@kyler628818 The venn diagram between misandristic transmaxxers who transitioned out of male loneliness and people who parrot this is a circle.
Don’t pretend it’s not you going around calling men ugly and evil and then gloating when male detrans rates are higher.
It’s also very dense to bring it up as a fault, and not address how hateful people are and how many in this community would rather trans men DIDN’T transition for their own horny “sapphic” reasons.
God forbid we crack under all that pressure, then we’re “theyfabs”
please stop perpetuating these kinds of myths, like even if the majority of detransitioners are FTMTF, which I could believe, they're not trans men! that's the whole point! they shouldn't be taken as representative of trans men!
@Orion_Systeme To take it seriously, because they’re overcompensating on their distancing from maleness. And it follows they’re not really all that aware and accepting of their own femaleness, if they feel the need. They don’t see sex (~gender) as a neutral thing but as an ideological choice.
