@RamentiVeritas@StasiKamoutsas The difference in our opinions stems a lot from my experience/knowledge of district and charter schools versus your beliefs of information you are receiving from 3rd party sources. I have no idea what you do for a living, but my guess is that it has nothing to do with education.
@RamentiVeritas@StasiKamoutsas Charter schools get plenty of “bad students”. This is another repeated talking point without any factual basis. The reason Charter schools can outperform their district counterparts is that they can adapt faster to needs because they aren’t bogged down by the political red-tape.
This should include retired military. Otherwise one day it’s valid and then the next day you retire and there is a different set of rules despite the same experience and training.
I’m proud to announce that I have introduced new legislation that would establish nationwide concealed carry reciprocity for qualified active duty servicemembers.
Our men and women in uniform are highly trained and trusted to defend our nation, so why should they face inconsistent laws when it comes to protecting themselves at home?
This bill ensures those who serve are treated with the same standard as law enforcement. In Congress, I promise to continue fighting for our servicemember’s rights while they put their lives on the line to protect our nation.
@PowerofEd1776@StasiKamoutsas@EducationFL Charter schools undergo audits the same as district schools. And, no, it is not an internal audit. They are done by a third party and the results are reported to the district and state. These are also publicly available records.
@PowerofEd1776@StasiKamoutsas@EducationFL Thanks for sharing. Feel free to look at the fiscal mismanagement at school districts. Specifically those who have already been audited by the Florida Doge team. The waste of taxpayer dollars there is astronomical.
@RamentiVeritas@StasiKamoutsas That’s not true. I happen to work at a Charter and we are not able to remove students for academic reasons per our “charter” which is a legally binding document.
@RamentiVeritas@StasiKamoutsas All schools do a roster verification 3 times per year. The amount of funding a Florida school receives (charter or traditional) is dependent on a by-name, attendance-based verification each iteration. Your statement is 100% false. Anything else you would like to be educated on?
@PowerofEd1776@StasiKamoutsas@EducationFL It’s unfortunate that you lump a minority of schools into an all encompassing statement. All charter school budgets are public record and subject to the sunshine act in Florida. Feel free to request their budgets and learn the truth.
@StasiKamoutsas How many of those work at a Charter School? Almost none, I would assume. Charters consistently get left out of recognition despite out performing their district counterparts in many cases.
@EddieSpeir I’ve known Jordan for years. He is a true “local boy” with the best interest of the area at the front of his mind. I could see how he could come off as sounding like a politician, but he is simply a small business owner, musician, and father that is comfortable speaking in public
