The flag of Victoria is a British Blue Ensign defaced by the badge of Victoria in the fly. Originally adopted as the flag of the colony of Victoria in 1877, the present design dates from 1953.

@NialFinegan @LiberalVictoria @CoalitionVic @VictorianLabor @FionaPattenMLC @SamanthaRatnam @DanielAndrewsMP @MatthewGuyMP My proposal to change the state #flag of #Victoria maintains the traditional colours and symbols in a distinctive and striking design.
My idea would be a ‘Big V’ in white on blue moving the state badge to the hoist.

After the long drawn out debate in New Zealand resulted in no change is there the political will to open this particular can of worms?
It probably needs one ‘brave’ state government in Australia to jump before the other five follow…
