RSS has always understood that exterminating Muslims from India is impossible without severe and dangerous consequences for Hindus.

Henceforth, they adopted the vision of assimilation, gradually weakening Muslim distinctiveness and Hinduising the community.

Bhagwat's statement should therefore not be read as gestures of peace, rather as a layout to this broader vision of absorption.

That is why even small cultural distinctions matter. Language matters. Urdu matters. Our vocabulary, customs and historical memory matter.

Everything market that has historcally distinguished Muslims from Hindus matter and should be upheld more tightly and firmly and expanded.

When Muslim leaders adopt an excessively Sanskritised vocabulary ("nivedan, manyavar, mahoday, pratarit, kshetra") to gain acceptance from the Hindu majoritarianism, that too should concern us.
