as a brazilian myself, the prices in rio de janeiro was probably more expensive than a concert ticket. things here are not cheap nor accessible, if she made history she deserves the credit: these people put real effort to be there.
it makes no sense, by this logic there wouldn't be people at home. also, the concert might be free but the amount of people travelling the entire country paid A LOT to see her.
now more than ever is time to write fanfic out of love but also out of spite
do it because you love it and also to piss off some bastards until they realize they dont belong here and never will
white supremacy within the film industry and how it affects the black/brown actors of this show is a worthwhile conversation to have. but to take that conversation and reduce it to foul untruths that only serve to undermine the efforts made by ALL actors within the show⦠yuck.
Good thing Anne Rice wasnβt an Australian then. You wouldnβt have gotten the show your pfp is from because her books would have landed her in jail.
as a brazilian it makes me sad to see other brazilians falling for this farse as well. as a country known for fighting against censorship for years, it's a shame to see the younger generation being pro-censorship AND potentially fascist with the excuse of "morality"
you don't see these people actually being aware of the issue, nor do they seem to care about real victims
but the "hypothetical pedophilia" they are fighting grants them this sense of morality they take pleasure from. it's a mere performance to boost their egos.
i legit think people use it as their own shield, they need to prove themselves, therefore whenever someone disagrees with them, they can use it as a weapon "you agree with it!" to make discussion with them impossible, so they always have the last word.
they're in the process of making it illegal to write "gross" fiction and this is going to start happening to any and all queer fiction and you're cheering it on like barking seals and clapping your fins together
how much the fujoshi community has contributed to enforcing patriarchal ideals and misogyny historically. fujoshism isnt as female empowering as a lot of people like to believe, yall are still centring men to some extent and itβs okay to admit that
