Truthfully, linux is unix, and MacOS is unix. They are not exactly the same, but the are both unix variants. In fact, most everything out there is some variant of unix, except windows. Windows the outlier. Most of what people think of as Mac or Windows, is the graphical user interface on top of the operating system.

Linux is in wide use in corporate data centers around the world, though when it's running on remote computers, you are only using some service provided by that system, and not actually the GUI itself. In fact, I'm nearly certain that X itself is run on linux. We're just seeing a webpage that gives us a particular graphical interface to the service provided by the computers running linux.

To be clear, it's not that we've proven it now invalid, because that implies it was ever valid. The default state for any noncitizen is "noncitizen." Someone walking over the border is also default "illegal" until they follow processes defined by law.

We have not yet seen any proof that she has become a citizen legally. The default position in the absence of proof to the contrary is that she is an illegal immigrant.

That's a different ball of yarn. From what I'm hearing, there seems to be a lack of documentation proving dad gained citizenship legitimately. That could make her derivative citizenship invalid.

Then there's the age thing. was she 17 or 18? why did her office request her birthdate be updated? This could also make derivative citizenship invalid, and she would have had to apply on her own.

Once both of those things are settled, then we can talk about whether her brother a) is really her brother and b) how his citizenship was to be gained thru marriage and her citizenship.

So while I don't have all the answers here, I can tell you that she has several different issues she needs to overcome to show she has valid citizenship.
