Can the words of Jesus be trusted? Absolutely.
If Jesus said believers would cast out demons, heal the sick, and that even if they were bitten by serpents it would not harm them, then His words are not the problem.
So why do some Christians die from snake bites?
Paul understood the gospel. In Acts 28, he was bitten by a venomous viper, yet he suffered no harm. The issue was never whether Christ's promise was true.
The real question is: what have believers been taught to believe?
When the gospel is mixed with fear, performance, legalism, and the idea that God's authority depends on how well you behave, confidence in Christ's finished work is undermined. Faith is weakened because people are taught to look at themselves instead of looking to Christ.
Jesus' words have not failed. The problem is that many have been taught a message that dilutes the simplicity and confidence of the gospel.
The believer who understands the gospel stands in Christ's authority, not in self-effort. Christ's victory is complete, and His words remain trustworthy.
I don’t even believe all pastors should be marriage counselors.
Some pastors will counsel you based on church tradition, their experiences, their pain, culture etc
That’s why we should have Christian counselors and therapists like @kingsleypst

I met him because I got lost on my first day in school.
I didn’t know that one wrong turn would change my life forever.
It was my first day in school as a fresher and I was trying to find my way to the cafeteria.
He was passing by with his friends so I politely asked for directions.
He offered to take me there himself, saying he was done with his registration for the day.
He tried to convince me to try Iya Risi’s buka instead of the overpriced cafeteria I was heading to.
When I told him I’d never tasted amala, he playfully shouted and insisted we eat there.
I was surprised when he offered to handle the bill.
We strolled back to the administrators block and he sat with me as I waited for my father’s driver.
He was cute and he made me laugh.
AYO
The first day I met Ella was at the bank I went to pay my school fees.
She wore a floral gown and had a purple bow in her hair, she was pretty with ‘melted chocolate skin’.
I planned to say hi to her when she joined the queue, but she walked past me into an office with a young man I hoped was her brother.
The man in the office stepped out with a file and spoke the cashier attending to us.
Minutes later, he escorted them out of the bank.
I couldn’t get the image of her face out of my head. I saw her the next week at a department close to mine in school.
I wanted to approach her but the contrast in our appearances was clear to even the blind.
When she asked for directions, I knew it was my lucky day.
She smelled like money, so I wasn’t surprised when she said she was expecting her driver to pick
her up that afternoon.
It was the last change in my pocket I used to pay for our meals, the money I was supposed to use as bus fare
She gave me a light hug and offered to drop me at home if I was ready to go, but I said I still had some places to visit in school
I lied
This was me after working 58 hrs in a 72hr period (10hr rest in 3 days) because of severe manpower shortage.
I almost collapsed mid-surgery and had to drink coke using NG tube as straw so I could stand long enough to complete the case.
Now I'm finding out I'm "useless" on X.

If you are a Christian believing God for healing, I suggest you mute all this ongoing conversation on healing right now. Mute Solomon as well.
Having no faith is worse that having too much faith.
You can't receive from God if you are double minded about his desire to heal you.
