There's so much random stuff that can kill you in the game that people take for granted. Could've been a grandmaster quest, who knows.

@JoulRe @HCIM_Deaths2 Man, I swear it's the most random thing that gets us sometimes. I didn't even know that being unable to tab with a follower was a thing, you must've had "default building mode" toggled on, which I only just found out existed right now. Crazy

@BlohmOSRS @HCIM_Deaths2 Yeah, if you have the menu entry swapper plugin configured correctly - which I didn't at the time. In these situations hindsight is 20/20 unfortunately.

If I remake, I'll definitely do that, but yeah, it's easy to consider 99% of possible situations but overlook one thing haha.

@Guffmaw @HCIM_Deaths2 Thanks, honestly I hate to say it but I don't think I'll be able to continue as normal iron... my entire motivation for playing this game was tied to the hardcore status. So I guess I'll have to remake, but the idea of doing it all over again sounds painful lol

@HCIM_Deaths2 This is me... got my Bowfa last November at 658kc, but I had to admit I really wanted blade too so I went back.
Started hunllef with low food, nerves got the better of me, tried to right click and leave but fumbled it with my shaky hands and nados got me. Dumb, unnecessary risk.

@JagexAsh I know you're probably getting swamped right now but I wanted to just post an update. I was able to log in and while the game does appear to have been rolled back by 20 mins or so, I'm standing at Prif bank (still HCIM) and I still have my enhanced crystal weapon seed. So happy!

@TheAjMc1 @JagexAsh @Osrs_PlayerHarv I was only being attacked by a single rat while on full health when I got dced, so I think my HC status should probably be ok... hopefully. I'm mostly worried about the items I had equipped when I entered CG

@JagexAsh @Osrs_PlayerHarv I finally got my Bowfa after 658 kc on my hardcore ironman only about half an hour before the servers went offline... then I decided to do one final CG run "for the back-to-back" and the servers went down when I was about 2-3 mins in to the prep. I'm so nervous right now...
