yesterday at Nomerra we needed to move some stuff, so we rented a MILES transporter.

we opened the door and the inside was absolutely cooked. empty cups, cans, stains, dirt everywhere.

we complained for like 30 seconds… and then used it anyway.

my CEO just looked at it and said: “this is product-market fit.”

and honestly, he had a point.

the experience was bad, but the core product solved such an urgent problem that we didn’t care enough to leave. we needed a van, there was one nearby, we unlocked it with an app and got the job done.

obviously they should clean the vans lol. but if people keep using your product even when parts of it suck, the value underneath must be pretty damn strong.

sometimes PMF isn’t a perfect product with beautiful UX.

sometimes it’s a dirty van you still don’t cancel.
