Flare 1.7.0 is out!

This is a big step for Flare: the macOS app has been rebuilt as a native app, with a proper Mac sidebar, separate compose/media windows, RSS, DMs, settings, and a smoother overall experience.

Also added Pixiv FANBOX support, and a bunch of fixes.

Flare 1.5.1 is rolling out.

iOS users can now choose from a set of new alternate app icons in Settings, so your Home Screen can look a little more like yours.

@danielleesale You can try to delete all the files in %tmp%/.flare and %userprofile%/.flare , close Flare, then open file explorer, type %tmp%/.flare in address input then hit the enter key, you will see some files, delete them all, and do the same for %userprofile%/.flare

Filters got a big upgrade too. You can now filter each timeline by post type.

A new Flare update has arrived!

There are two new timeline display modes, Plain mode lets you make fuller use of your screen width. Gallery mode is much more comfortable to explore media heavy timelines.

We’ve also improved the RSS experience with a cleaner article interface.

Reading across languages now feels much more natural, with automatic translation and more ways to choose how translations work for you.

And for Nostr users, signing in now feels smoother with QR login, and Amber support on Android.

@danielleesale Unread/read for RSS is planned for a future version. For now you can add RSS into a mixed feed by customizing tabs: tap the + on the top tab bar to enter tab customize page, then tap the + on the top right to open a sheet to add all or individual RSS feeds.

Starting with this update, Android, Windows, and macOS will share the same version number. The iOS version will align once it’s officially released on the App Store.
