​I need to be honest guys,

​Over the weekend, the creator (dev) wallet sold its holdings due to what looks like a private key compromise. Looking on-chain, the dev wallet was delegated by another address; in a single transaction, it sold all the dev holdings, transferred the funds to a fresh wallet, and off-ramped via ChangeNow.

​Since 143 was created, I have played the primary active role in managing the direction of the meme; from developing the mascot and handling community management, to being the main reply guy, creating content, organizing raids, and hiring/firing. Almost every interaction you’ve had with the 143 account was with me. This went on for months without any contribution from the dev.

​So, following the hack, I made the decision to step up and officially initiate a Community Takeover (CTO). I’ve held onto 143 for this long because I believe in the lore and the power of this community. 143 represents that perfectly, not just as a meme, but in how community members and onboarded degens have consistently showed up along the way without expecting anything in return.

​All fees will go directly back into building 143: buybacks, hiring more artists, outsourcing community management, marketing, activations, and overall project growth.

​143 has always been a community-owned project.

​It's deeply rooted in the culture of Monad, it means "ILY" and it is also the Monad chain ID. It has always had a life of its own, and all I'm doing is giving it the push it deserves so the lore remains alive and active within the community.
