According to photos and videos spreading on social media, multiple people have been killed in civil unrest across Mexico in the past few hours.
This possibly includes members of the security forces.
This information is still unconfirmed at this time.
The biggest clashes are likely to occur in Jalisco, especially in and around Guadalajara, Tapalpa, and surrounding municipalities where the CJNG (Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación) is most entrenched.
Secondary hotspots include Michoacán, Colima, Guanajuato, Nayarit, and Veracruz, where the CJNG has expanded but is less centralized, so clashes may be sporadic but still violent.
This can last a couple of weeks, depending on how security forces respond and how the cartel reorganizes, redeploys, and tests government control in the affected areas.

Footage published on social media shows members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel operating illegal roadblocks and setting vehicles on fire across Mexico.
It is still unclear if anyone has been injured or arrested in the past few hours.
