Braddock fought John Henry Lewis, an African American boxer.This was before the Civil Rights Movement, so its interesting that a black boxer could fight a white boxer.Boxing wasn't segregated even though so many other things were segregated during this time. #MECinderellaMan17

Cinderella Man was an incredible story of what it took to stay afloat during the Great Depression. But even more than that, we as viewers are shown what can happen if you have something to fight for and fight for it with everything you've got! #MECinderellaMan17

#MEGlory17 i have lots of sympathy towards the 54th., especially Shaw as he attempts to move forward with his men but is shot and killed. The company continues and i really respect that. They bravery was not in vain because it inspired many other black men to participate to fight

#MEGlory17 As the colored regiment is formed I find myself wondering, "What percentage of free blacks could read in the 1800s?" The man that knew Col. Shaw already appears to be very good at reading but what about the others?

#MEGlory17 I didn't realize that Frederick Douglass was older by the time that the war started. He had so much influence on others during his time.
