@Waffl3x You make the same mistakes, IMHO. There is no "std::unreachable" at runtime for execution to pass through. It's "not something at compile time" simply by the virtue of compiler allowed to assume t won't ever happen, but yes, "it" "happening" can only occur at runtime (ign. macro)
