As we mark the anniversary of the 19th Amendment's passage in Congress, we remember that freedom was not expanded because women waited for it—but because they acted.
They remind us our work is not done and each generation must continue the fight to build a more perfect union.
Ossoff: Last September, the President of Kazakhstan calls Donald Trump and says he wants to grant tungsten mining rights to an American company. And the very next month, Eric and Don Jr. get a stake in the American company pursuing the mining deal.
Six days later, six days after Prince Eric and Prince Don get their stake, Kazakhstan announces this company will get, “The largest known undeveloped tungsten resource in the world.” A few more weeks go by, and then the U.S. government, run by their father, sets aside 1.6 billion of your tax dollars to fund and finance their mining project. In Kazakhstan.
All this while you pay more for gas, for groceries, for health care, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Trump isn’t going after the “worst of the worst” — he’s going after all immigrants. And we must be clear eyed about this — he’s using immigrants as a testing ground for stripping Constitutional protections for ALL of us.
Reporter: Ken Paxton has taken to calling you ‘Talafreako’
@JamesTalarico: If Ken Paxton is worried about freaks, he should stop giving Epstein-style sweetheart deals to pedophiles. This is the guy who just released Adam Hoffman from jail, an admitted child rapist, after one of Ken Paxton’s wealthy lawyer friends got involved in the case.
Ken Paxton even kept him off the sex offender registry. Adam Hoffman was supposed to serve 25 years to life, but instead he served less than a month. As of this week, he’s now back on our streets because of Ken Paxton’s corruption.
Ken Paxton is the most corrupt politician in America, and it is costing Texans, it’s endangering our children, and it must end. The Epstein class has no place in Texas.
This week, in Elon Musk's lawsuit against Sam Altman and OpenAI, the jury saw video of a sworn deposition from Mira Murati, OpenAI's former CTO. Elaborating on her comments in our latest @NewYorker story, she alleged that Altman was not always truthful, gave different executives conflicting information, and pitted them against each other. Texts between Murati and Altman were also entered as evidence.
Over the course of an 18-month investigation, we traced the yearslong history of these claims from Altman's colleagues, and looked at what this tells us about integrity in AI leadership, and how it affects all of us.
Here's some of what we found. And read the full story here: https://t.co/ZOusgFyA1H
One year ago today, Mon Mothma stood before the Imperial Senate and delivered one of Andor’s most powerful moments, openly defying Palpatine and the Empire.
The senators who jeered at her did not know it, but their institution had only two years left. As in A New Hope, Palpatine would dissolve the Senate entirely.
Because you deserve nice things.
One of most wholesome moments on Sesame Streer ever debuted 48 years ago today,
Madeline Kahn and Grover's duet of Sing After Me.
