Let's talk about Texas AD Chris Del Conte's run of hires.

2019: Mike White hired as the softball coach.

Since: 3 CWS appearances, two runner-ups and a CWS title last year. Currently No. 2 in the country.

2020: Vic Schaefer hired as the WBB coach.

Since: 5 conf championships (reg or tourney). 4/5 years in the Elite Eight. A Final Four appearance last year. Currently, one of the favorites to win it all in 2026.

2021: Steve Sarkisian hired as the football coach.

Since: Two CFP semi-final appearances, B12 championship, SEC championship berth in first year in the conference, 48 wins in five seasons. Projected Top 3 team in 2026

2024: Jim Schlossnagle hired as the baseball coach.

Since: SEC regular season title in 2025, 64-17 overall record, No. 2 team in the nation currently.

2025: Sean Miller hired as the MBB coach.

Since: One of four SEC teams in the Sweet Sixteen, just the second berth for the program in 18 years.

He's hired top-three coaches in the SEC in four of the six major sports at Texas, and Miller is already solidifying himself in the 6-8 range among SEC MBB coaches.
