𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦? oh, nat’s lucky she can’t read her mind.
“yeah, yeah,” sighs as she’s getting settled, careful not to take more than her share. “you don’t snore, do you? you seem like a snorer.”
⠀
"fuckin' ecstatic." a grin is shot her way. and really, she is pretty pleased to have tai agree with her for once. she even shuffles over to make more room for her.
nat will just have to clamp an arm around her as if it's a hostage situation. that's fine.
back into bed she dives. "sure, but i'm also 𝘦𝘹𝘩𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥. so get over here."
⠀
“… fine.” another compromise, though heading to the floor once nat’s asleep isn’t entirely out of the question yet.
“but only because you’re 𝘦𝘹𝘩𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨.”
⠀
"i'm serious, too!" her arms also fold, mirroring tai's stance. then she exhales a quiet sigh, though isn't quite defeated.
"share with me," she finally offers, figuring it may be a compromise they're both willing to endure.
⠀
“i’m serious! i’ll stay, but i’m sleeping down here.” folds her arms across her chest, unmoving. nods expectantly toward the bed. “so get back in there and give it up.”
⠀
a corner of nat's lips lift in an amused smile. "knock it off. you're not putting me out of anything."
now she's dramatically hopping up off of the bed, bowing at the waist and making a grand gesture to her humble sleeping space, "no standing menacingly for you."
⠀
“nat!” half—laughs, fully exasperated. “i’m not fighting about this with you. and i’m not putting you out when my place is fifteen fuckin’ feet that way.” idly gestures in its general direction. “and if you keep this up, »
⠀
"the fuck i am. you're, like, my guest or something. you're taking the bed." it was nice to see tai wouldn't just roll over and accept it without a fight, however she was prepared to argue back. it was for her own good, anyway.
⠀
“well, no. you’re sleeping in your bed. i’ll manage.” maybe there’s some fight left in her yet, little room for nat to argue.
“i have some blankets in mine. i can go and grab them and make a comfy little … nest.”
⠀
"good." and that's the end of that. she's unwilling to explicity express her desire for tai to remain, but hopes she gets her point across.
"you can have the bed. i'll just," she gestures vaguely to the floor. maybe it'll be nice to not be alone for the evening. even if she'll -

"you think i'd be offering if i wasn't sure?" she isn't one to ever do anything she doesn't want to do, after all.
her eyes roll, "shut up. you're staying." maybe if she withholds the choice, tai will stop doing...𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵. besides, the mere thought of her being alone after -

"i'm not asking 'cause i think it had anything to do with me. i'm asking 'cause..." her own words meet a similar fate, unwilling to see the light of day. her own head shakes as well, mirroring tai.
"anyway, you can just hang out here tonight. shit'll be back to normal tomorrow."
