We want to put pressure on the @nzlabour to supply masks such as N95 + P2 free of cost to the hospo industry. At RBHU we believe hospo workers should b able to access these masks w/o having to fork out for them.

Aggression toward retail workers never has been, and never will be okay. Retail workers are at the frontline of the pandemic and are now coming face to face with the omicron variant.
We know that being able to stay home and to buy the resources we need to stay safe takes pūtea.
We also know that many people do not have enough to get by on an average week, forget one with reduced work, empty shelves and an increased risk of infection.
We can do better.
We urgently need to increase access to income support. On top of increasing and individualising benefits, we need to broaden the eligibility of hardship grants from WINZ, look at debt amnesty.
Eliminating poverty should be part of our health response to Omicron.
